In Memorial

  • In Memoriam:
              My beloved pet passed away on 12-16-2011..... He was the very best friend and companion that ever existed. His name was BooBoo and he was born on 1-1-1999. We got him when he was a puppy and were blessed by his companionship for 13 years. A more special friend, I cannot imagine. Everyone in the family cried and have missed him very much. I'm not sure that I can ever get another pet because it hurts too much when they pass away. He was a beautiful mutt from the dog pound/animal shelter that I rescued and remained quite a brilliant pet for his entire life. I know that animals don't have souls, but, hopefully God will bless me with his presence in heaven ( what a beautiful white furry companion to have for all eternity ).

            Again, so long though good and faithful servant and friend........you will never be forgotten and will always be remembered.

Fall 2011 -- November

  • Just finished reading The Next Always by: Nora Roberts. Review: I absolutely loved this book!  I like series and thought The Inn Boonsboro Trilogy would be good. Gosh, it really was interesting on many levels. I read it as a mystery, romance, and historical novel. Can't wait until " The Last Boyfriend" is published next May ( 2nd in series ). The Next Always was also a comfy and easy read....good for these trying times in which we all live.
  • Starting to read: Curiosity Thrilled The Cat by: Sofie Kelly and Winter Solstice by Rosamunde Pilcher. Should be good for a couple of weeks of good reading.
  • 1st week in December, I plan on starting to read various Christmas related novels. Always love to read Christmas books in December. It helps to improve on the holidays.

Ah.....Summer's Almost Gone.........


NATIONAL BOOK LOVERS DAY ( August 9th - Today )
  • In honor of National Book Lovers Day, my entire post is about books and reading!


    • Just finished reading the entire Tea Shop Mysteries series by Laura Childs. I would recommend all 12 books in the series, especially if you like Charleston, SC and mysteries.


  • It has been an absolutely beautiful day here in the Ole North State for summer reading. I am now reading A Turn In The Road by Debbie Macomber. She is one of my favorite authors.


  • I purchased great reading at the recent Borders going out of business sale in Winston -Salem.
    • Reference:  1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die ( Edited by: Peter Boxall )  Geez, what a heavy book! A very interesting resource for all readaholics.

WEEP NOT FOR ME
 
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.

Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
